Tuoro, 217 BC … The first light of day, the fog, the lake, and a rocky outcrop creating a narrow passage inspire Hannibal, commander of the Carthaginians, to launch an ambush on the Roman legion hot on his trail.

From July 30th to August 17th, the Toreggiano Ferragosto festival returns to the Lido di Tuoro beach, the “Il Sodo” park, and the historic center: theatrical events, entertainment, parades, reenactments, games, and tastings will bring to life the customs and traditions of Roman and Carthaginian civilizations. A journey through time during the period […]

The Proloco of Tuoro sul Trasimeno presents a theatrical journey through Religion, Popular Traditions, and Ancient Crafts. This immersive theater experience aims to revive one of the oldest and most evocative traditions of our country during the Christmas festivities. The living nativity scene is a true itinerant show, with numerous actors, musicians, artisans, and local residents bringing the miracle of the Nativity to life.

On Friday, November 8, the festivities begin in the morning at 10:00 AM with a lesson at the olive mill, where we will guide schools on a visit to the mills, open to all. In the afternoon, starting at 7:00 PM, the food stands will open, with taverns run by local businesses offering delicious gastronomic specialties and entertainment in the historic center. Later in the evening, at 9:30 PM, join the Dance Parade with DJ Alex Santiago at Il Sodo Park, featuring a vibrant mix of disco and the new EVO cocktails bar service.

For all book lovers, especially fans of crime novels, the 4th edition of Giallo Trasimeno is a must! From August 31 to September 1, there will be book presentations, author meet-and-greets, and public readings in the stunning setting of the panoramic Piazza Rondò in Tuoro and the charming village of Isola Maggiore. Don’t miss it!

On Friday, August 9, at 8:30 PM, on the charming terrace of Rondò in Tuoro sul Trasimeno, you will have the chance to experience a journey back in time, 2000 years ago. The Historical Dinner, organized by the Pro Loco of Tuoro, is a true leap into the past with a Roman dinner based on the original recipes of Apicius and other ancient authors.
