From July 30 to August 17, at the Lido di Tuoro beach, the “Il Sodo” Park, and the Historic Center, the Ferragosto Toreggiano returns: theatrical events, entertainment, parades, reenactments, games, and tastings will bring to life the customs and traditions of both Roman and Carthaginian civilizations.
A journey back in time during the Punic Wars will transport visitors to the distant year of 217 B.C., the year of the famous Battle of Lake Trasimeno, where Hannibal was a key figure: the four districts of the village (Trasimena, Colonna, Malpasso, and Val Romana) will compete against each other in a series of challenges and contests to win the amphora of victory.
